Amos Phillips's initial pension application and a word cloud of health complaints mined from it and subsequent applications.

This muster card, like many of Phillips's CMSR cards, shows that he was absent from muster due to illness. Phillips claims in his pension record that he suffered from Chicamonga [sic] fever, which is Typho-Malarial fever. Typho-Malarial fever was later understood to be a misdiagnosis. Patients suffered either from Typhoid, Malaria, or both conditions simultaneously.
