Amos Phillips died at the WRC Home on February 25, 1904 of septecemia (blood poisoning) after falling from a ladder and becoming paralyzed. Phebe survives for another 18 years.
Amos and Phebe were laid to rest together. Childless, their grave marker represents their entire family.
